Well, we have developed an innovative tool that allows you to capture your videos in your CEWE PHOTOBOOK.
Of course you can’t actually play a video in a printed book, but, using the tool, you can insert certain frames from your video.
Next, a QR code is generated and can be placed alongside the frames and the video is then uploaded into the gallery when ordering.
The QR code in the final version of the CEWE PHOTOBOOK then links to the video in the gallery and can be played by anywhere, at any time on any smartphone or tablet, using a QR code reader app.
Make sure that your video clip is no longer than 5 minutes. You can shorten longer clips using video editing software, or you can edit multiple clips together to create one 5 minute (or less) video.
|
You can insert almost any video into your CEWE PHOTOBOOK, just remember that no individual clips can be longer than 5 minutes. |
Using the directory browser, open the location of your video. You will recognise the video file because it appears as a "movie frame" in the thumbnail view.
|
Note: If your video is not displayed in the thumbnail view, then please notify our support team. Details of how to contact them can be found under “Options”, “About”. |
Some formats may not be supported but we are continually working to fix any issues and improve the service. Select the thumbnail of the video you want to insert into your CEWE PHOTOBOOK in the selection area and drag it with the left mouse button on the workspace.
A video image will appear on the workspace along with the QR code to the video clip. Both can be positioned wherever you want them and you can also delete them if you wish. If you double click on the video image a dialogue box will open for editing the video.
Alternatively, you can select and display up to 6 frames from the video to display like a filmstrip in your CEWE PHOTOBOOK. Set the desired number of frames then, using the scroll bar, find the images that you want to capture in your filmstrip.
The images will appear in the upper strip preview. When you’re happy with the film strip, click okay to close the dialogue box. Position the film strip and the QR code on the page as desired.

Caution! Videos usually have a lower resolution than digital photos, so please take notice of the quality indicator and whether the size of the frames is suitable for production. |
